Welcome
to our website where we will convey
to you our philosophies and accomplishments.
Kelly, our first
Apricot Standard
Poodle, joined our
family in 1989. She was a beautiful apricot poodle, and our
foundation bitch, born in the Catskill Mountains of New York.
Kelly
looked so pretty sitting in the kitchen of Ilsa Konig that we
picked her to be part of our family.
She will always be special in
our hearts.
Farleys D Standard
has been breeding and
raising exceptional AKC registered
Apricot and Red
Standard Poodles
since 1990.
We have bred, raised and shown
some of the best and finest
Apricot
and Red
Standard Poodle Champions in the United States
including:
The First AKC Red Standard
Bitch Champion,
Chelsea
and
The
Second AKC Red Standard
Dog Champion, Cello
In addition to having bred and shown
these
Red
Standard Poodle Champions,
we have the honor to have finished in the
United States:
The First AKC Apricot Standard
Bitch Champion,
Ivy
and
The First AKC Apricot Standard Dog
Champion,
Tru
out of the Bred By Exhibitor
class.
We are recognized and sought after throughout the world
due to breeding consistently well-tempered, happy, healthy and intelligent
dogs not to mention for our
accomplishments with
our Apricot and Red
Standard Poodles.
We are always eager to help mentor, to
lend a helping hand, or to support anyone who wants to learn and
promote Apricot and Red Standard Poodles.
We are members of the Apricot Red Poodle
Club where Terry is currently the Treasurer, and John is
Corresponding Secretary. We are also members of
the Greater Pittsburgh Poodle club where we have served as
officers for different positions throughout the past years and
Terry is currently the Treasurer. We
were members of the Poodle Club of Long Island when we
lived in New York City.
In addition, we have raised and shown
Papillons since 1998. After finishing a number of them, ours
and for clients, we started breeding Papillons in 2002. We have
bred a few litters so far and we are looking forward to establishing a Farleys D line of Papillons. We are
members of the Three Rivers Papillon
Club of PA where Terry is the founding President and John has
served as Treasurer and Vice-President. John is member of the
Papillon Club of America.
In the year 2000, John fell in love at first
sight with a Havanese which we named Lola. She was
finished in no time and became our first Havanese. Since then we
have acquired two additional Havanese, Eva and Tango, this time
from wonderful people and honored friends Pat and Sue of Glen Iris
Havanese
in Williamsport, PA. During the first 5 years of being in the
breed, we have shown and finished many dogs and have been learning
about the Havanese. Our first litter was bred in 2005 and are
pleased to say we championed two puppies from the Bred-By class
from that litter and are looking forward to champion two more from
our second litter.

Marco,
received an AOM, Award of Merit, from judge Mr. Edd Bivin.
We are members of the Steel Valley
Havanese Association where Terry is the founding President and
John has served as a Board member and is the current
Secretary. Terry and John are also members of the Havanese
Club of America.
We are members of Fort Steuben
Kennel Association All-breed club.
Terry has judged many AKC recognized A
and B matches and presented seminars for judges and aspiring judges
on topics such as Poodle genetics and Poodle breed type. He is
hoping to pursue his judging license in the future.

Our goal
We are conscientious and
responsible breeders that breed for the purpose of producing dogs
to exhibit for ourselves, occasionally raising one or two litters
per year in Apricot, Red and Black Standard Poodles, Papillons
and/or Havanese. Our goal from the start was,
and still remains, to raise healthy, happy, well-tempered, affectionate
puppies that are also a good representation of the breed.
By carefully selecting bloodlines and characteristics
that complement one another together with extensive pedigree research,
networking and health testing we feel our puppies to be an
exemplary representation of type, structure and temperament the
Standard Poodle, Papillon and Havanese breeds require.
Our puppies are well-suited for
conformation, all-around performance, and to be beloved pets.
We reside in
Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania.
